14/11/24 - Captures goes red

The original run of (I think) 250 copies of the Captures blue 12" has now sold out, but another 250 copies on red vinyl are now in stock from Bandcamp!

01/11/24 - Captures EP out now

Bit of a weird month, somehow managed to forget to post that this was announced! Anyway, it's out today - Captures EP by FSOL. This is the first 'conventional' EP since the '90s, and is also listed as 'Pre8', meaning it's part of the Environment 8 era. The official Facebook page mentions that one track from the EP will be on E8 (in whatever permutation it appears), the rest is EP-exclusive. Although the opening track will be familiar to anyone who has Mind Maps 5. E8 will be along next year. The EP is available from Bandcamp as a blue 12" and digital download.

04/10/24 - Pleasurefields & Yage

A new collaborative track is now available from the Pleasurefields Bandcamp. The blurb reads: "Today marks a massive day in Pleasurefields history. We're dropping The Pleasure's Coming – our biggest collab EVER – featuring the one and only Yage, half of the legendary Future Sound of London (yeah, you read that right)."

09/09/24 - Pulse Three

Pulse Three will be reissued on 12" later this month. Retailers seem to have a date of 24th September, so we can probably expect an earlier date than that for the FSOL Bandcamp version...

15/06/24 - Mind Maps 5 next week

The fifth Mind Maps will be along on 21st June. Expect a Mixlr preview with an exclusive mini-mix as usual!

31/05/24 - Pulse Two pre-order

The re-press of Pulse Two can be pre-ordered from the FSOL Bandcamp now. It's expected to ship on 11th June.

24/05/24 - Vinyl repress dates

A couple of confirmed dates for your diary - the green double LP version of Lifeforms will be officially released on 14th June; a reissue of Pulse Two will come out two weeks later on the 28th, although I'd be very surprised if it wasn't available through FSOLDigital a little while before then.

04/05/24 - Lifeforms vinyl repress

Lifeforms is being reissued as a double green LP on 14th of June for the album's 30th birthday. Nothing in the way of remastering or bonus tracks, but it's back in print again, which is always a good thing.

03/05/24 - New remix, RSD releases on Bandcamp, Calendar update, new video series

Update of recent news... a new Future Sound of London remix has been announced, for Holeg Spies as part of the extensive Brave New World multimedia pack 3CD & DVD release. The FSOL remix is of 'Lostrosphere'. Pre-order the collection here.

I'm sure everyone knows by now, but the Record Store Day reissues of ISDN and From the Archives can now be ordered from the FSOL Bandcamp. ISDN stock should be arriving at FSOLDigital next week and shipping soon after.

29/03/24 - New FSOL track on Touched compilation

 'D05 sk', a new FSOL track, is now available on the 2CD / download compilation Full Spectrum on Touched Music. The compilation is raising funds for REACH, a charity helping young autistic people and their families. Grab it here

22/02/24 - ISDN tracklist

So we have a tracklist for the expanded ISDN. As predicted, the 2LP version simply pastes the white edition tracks into the start of side D before ending with 'An End of Sorts'. Interestingly, the 2CD edition features the same running order, making it a 90 minute 18 track double album with strong similarities to Lifeforms, right down to CD1 containing eight tracks and running to roughly 40 minutes, and CD2 containing more and running to roughly 50. It looks set to be the 'definitive' version of the album - the question is, will we ever get something similar for Dead Cities (the answer is, of course, no).

15/02/24 - Record Store Day 2024: ISDN and From the Archives

ISDN will be getting a much overdue vinyl reissue for this year's Record Store Day, and apparently "audio from both versions has been amalgamated and sequenced by Brian Dougans". Whether this will be all 18 album tracks, or if b-sides like Snake Hips Part 2, Live in New York and Herd Killing will be present remains to be seen. A CD reissue is also happening, although the blurb states it's a single disc (which won't fit all 18 tracks), Rough Trade have announced a pre-order for a 2CD version. Time will tell. FSOLDigital's offering this year is less notable, a reissue of the 2007 2LP From the Archives compilation.

15/02/24 - Pulse Five expanded CD & download

As with the past few De:tuned releases, Pulse Five has been given an expanded CD and download release via FSOLDigital. This includes six additional tracks by FSOL, Smart Systems, Indo Tribe and Yage. For those digital purchasers who only want these, they can be purchased individually.

25/01/24 - 2024 Calendar

Here's the 2024 Calendar Album. This year's opens with a track first heard on the Mind Maps 4 Touched show, at the time advertised as being from E7.003 - so a recent one. As ever, purchasing the album will allow you access to the full album as it gets updated each month.

An interesting release today, Papua Re-Booted or Papua Boot 12. Basically this is a collection of four fan mixes, using that awful Future Music remix kit from 25 years ago, which has been given some official distro by Passion Music, making it a kind of official bootleg. Anyway, the FSOL Bandcamp is also selling copies, which can be grabbed here.

09/01/24 - By Any Other Name 3LP

WeMe Records will be releasing a triple LP edition of 2007's early years archive compilation By Any Other Name on 11th February 2024. The album can be pre-ordered from the WeMe website; a few European stores are now offering pre-order too, so hopefully wider distribution is on its way.
