10/02/11 - Second Thought album available on FSOLDigital

I've been umming and aahing about the exact tone to write this entry in, and have decided to steer away from "OMG" and be quite factual. The latest release on FSOLDigital is 'Safernoc', by Second Thought, your humble site administrator and bringer of news.

Representing a year of recording between Leeds and Manchester, and less heavily conceptual than the previous two Second Thought albums, Safernoc explores stories and myths of a lost age through piano and string textures, electronic pulses and slow moving melancholia.

01 - Send More Bees (03:55)
02 - Night Train (04:57)
03 - Barghest (02:41)
04 - Marown Dhoo (05:41)
05 - Savernake (05:09)
06 - Kelpie (03:31)
07 - Cwn Annwn (07:10)
08 - Moss (07:25)
09 - Vantage Point (03:54)
10 - Timber Wolf (05:51)
11 - Aqueduct (05:26)
12 - Beddgelert (02:34)

The album can be purchased for a mere £5.00 from FSOLDigital by clicking the £5.00 just there.
And I would like to thank both the band and their management for allowing me this opportunity.

There, that wasn't too gushing now, was it?

02/02/11 - Rumour watch

With a lack of actual news, it's time for February 2011's Rumour watch, in which we report absolute bollocks which probably has no grounding in reality.

Oasis board Live4ever reports:
"From an article in a Japanese magazine.

According to Virgil Howe, during his visit to Japan as a member of Little Barrie, the members of Amorphous Androgynous are in the midst of making Noel Gallagher's album.
Incidentally they came to Japan in early Dec last year."

Doesn't state which magazine, which members of Amorphous Androgynous, or anything else, but it's something.

Meanwhile - and this is a slightly NSFW site here - FSOL are to feature on a porn soundtrack. Did we say porn? Sorry, "adult entertainment film". It's called Sultrina. It'll probably just be Papua New Guinea. Who knows.

"Thanks" to Dell for these.
See you next month for another pointless issue of Rumour watch.
