01/12/20 - FSOL Bandcamp now online

The FSOL Bandcamp is now up and active. The link is https://fsol.bandcamp.com/.

The page has the bulk of the FSOLDigital era material available as digital downloads. At time of writing, the following releases are missing:
FSOL - A Gigantic Globular Burst of Anti-Static
FSOL - Archives 1-3 (Enhanced Versions)
Part-Sub-Merged - Four Forests
Polemical - Hand Made Devices
Heads of Agreement - The San Monta Tapes
Humanoid - Your Body Sub-Atomic
The Pulse EPs
Six Oscillators in Remittance - Cloudscraper
The Jazz Mags - An Open Window
EMS : Piano - One
Suburban Domestic - Stillness
Sand Sound Folly - Salient Moons 1973
Glass Girl - What's it All About
Synthi A - Ignition of the Sun (CD Version)
FSOL - Artworks EP
FSOL - Ramblings EPs 1-3
FSOL - The S:X One Live Improvisations
FSOLDigital Mix
The Fears and Fantasies of the Unconscious Mind
Calendar Albums 2017-2020
All the Pod Room stuff
Other artist releases (Neotropic, Seafar, Herd, Ross Baker, etc.)

Whether these will appear at some point remains to be seen.
The page does, however, have the first ever digital release of Life in Moments, and limited copies of the A Controlled Vista 12" picture disc, both of which are very welcome - particularly the former, which has effectively been out of print for five years. Along with the ACV 12", Cascade 2020 CDs can also be bought from the site, suggesting that physical releases will be available there going forward.

20/11/20 - Immortal releases no longer on Bandcamp.

As per the title. No idea.

20/11/20 - Amorphous Bandcamp and Found Sound 2

The Amorphous Androgynous Bandcamp is now active! The site only features digital releases at the moment, although physical stock will be added in the next few days. The material present is a fairly comprehensive range covering the majority of this century's Amorphous releases (other than the Monstrous Bubble compliations, of course), including Alice in Ultraland, which is back under the band's ownership once again, and the 'Divinity' single, which gets its first non-promo release here. There are, however, a few omissions, listed below:

The Isness is the Abbey Road Version, which Gaz has gone on record to state is his favourite of the two. This does mean there's no presence of The Lovers or The Isness on the Bandcamp, as well as the 'final' mixes of Elysian Feels, Mello Hippo, Guru Song, Galaxial, Egghead and Divinity - and, as it's the 2018 Abbey Road cut, the original versions of Her Tongue and Meadows. It also means The Otherness repeats two tracks from the original album.
The Peppermint Tree doesn't include bonus track An Absurd Consequence of Living in Absurd Times (or it's a hidden bonus track maybe?).
The Cartel Remixes is the digital edition rather than vinyl edition, meaning those vinyl-only remixes are still vinyl-only.
Promo-only edits and mixes of Mello Hippo and The Witchfinder, last year's two calendar tracks, and their Oasis and Beatles covers are also not present.

Still, minor niggles aside, it's great to see them embracing the site, and bringing the bulk of the catalogue together in an easily accessible manner. The FSOL page is currently expected to open next week.

In more electronic news, Touched Music's Found Sound 2 compilation will be released on 27th November, and, according to the Facebook announcement, is due to feature a FSOL's 'Night Scape' (previously heard on Touched 3) alongside the previously announced Humanoid piece.

16/11/20 - New tracks on Alan Dougans Mix

Alan Dougans - Brian's brother, frequent photography contributor to FSOLDigital releases, and occasional remixer of Humanoid as part of DXU:555 - has created a new mix entitled And Once Again, I Can Flow. Excitingly, it features three unreleased FSOL tracks: 'E7 Untitled (The Willi Wolf Wee Man remix)', 'Aria' and 'BriHarp featuring Anamika Singh'. At least one of those - the first - is from Environment Seven, albeit in remix form here. Have a listen here.

13/11/20 - News from the Touched Mixlr

A couple of tidbits from Martin in the Mixlr chat this evening. Firstly, a second Found Sound compilation will be released on Touched at the end of the month, and will feature the Humanoid track 'Tiny Machine Birth', originally heard in partially truncated form on the first A Controlled Vista. Secondly, tonight's mix, entitled Mind Maps, may get a released on Touched in the future. Given the material, there may need a little ironing out before that, however. Min-Y-Llan - Lot-e (Synthi A - Analogue Designs)
