06/02/17 - My Kingdom & The Isness for Record Store Day

Two releases this RSD: the reasonably-long-awaited vinyl release of the Abbey Road Cut of The Isness will be a 180g vinyl release, and a new version of My Kingdom - 're-imagined in 2017' - by FSOL, as a 40 minute EP. More news soon!

20/01/18 - January Calendar track

The first track from the 2018 Calendar Album should now be in subscribers' inboxes, a FSOL track entitled 'Destination'.

17/1/18 - Abbey Road cut of The Isness coming on vinyl

Brian has briefly mentioned, buried deep in a nest of comments in a FSOL group on Facebook, that the Abbey Road cut (the infamous 'mispress' version) of The Isness is due to be released on 180g vinyl in the future. That is all.

13/01/18 - New FSOL and Humanoid on Touched Music

Touched Music continue their series of charity compilations with a 2CD set entitled Found Sound. Included among the 31 tracks are 'Infrablack-080101-215' by Humanoid, and 'Origin Flow', credited to FSOL-Digitana-SX1 (likely to be another live jam incorporating the SX1). The Humanoid track is streamable, and comes as a download with the pre-order. The full version is likely to be up very soon, with all tracks streamable. Humanoid's track is also on YouTube:

28/12/17 - Lifeforms LP pre-order on Amazon

The Lifeforms LP repress is now available to pre-order on Amazon UK here. It's been a while in coming, but it's finally just around the corner.

20/12/17 - 2017 Calendar Album now complete

2017's Calendar Album is now complete, with the track 'The Listening Room' arriving in everybody's inboxes this morning (note that the first email had an incorrect link, which was fixed by a second email shortly afterwards). The full tracklist of the album is:

14/12/17 - SX-One preview album now available

An album of pieces showing the versatility of the FSOL/Digitana synth the SX-One is now available to download from FSOLDigital, as mp3 or FLAC, with six bonus videos. The site describes the album as:

4 tracks – 45 mins in total – live improvisations using the FSOL:DIGITANA sx-1
Also includes 4 videos – filmed at the time of recording – showing the SX-1 in the recording chain
In addition a further 2 videos as a bonus
A pitch and tempo is decided, a timeline is peppered with hits and noises
These act as que markers to move the synth settings and sequences forward
A set of sequences were created and stored for random access
The main time generator is started and the result is recorded to 1/4” 15ips tape on a Nagra IVs
